I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Blueberry Peach Cobbler

This is a super simple old fashioned dessert. Warm blueberry peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect summertime  indulgence!

Ingredients:
3 cups sliced peaches. Fresh, frozen or canned and drained
2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsps baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Toss fruit with 1/2 cup sugar and set aside. If using frozen fruit don't defrost. Set aside.
Melt the butter and set aside. Mix the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add the milk and vanilla and whisk until smooth.  Pour the melted butter into a 13 X 9" baking dish then spoon the batter over it. Arrange the fruit on top of the batter resisting the urge to stir. Bake in a 350°F oven for 40-45 minutes.  Serves 8
