I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Asian Style BBQ Chicken Legs

A little sweet, a little salty and ready for summer (even though we might have snow by the end of the week, ugh!! Someone tell Mother Nature it's MAY!)
Oh, and that Fried Fresh Pineapple from yesterday would pair great with these legs!
https://hotandcoldrunningmom.blogspot.com/2020/05/fried-fresh-pineapple.html

Ingredients:
3 chicken legs, split
2 tbsps soya sauce
1/4 tsp sriraccha sauce
few drops of sesame seed oil
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsps brown sugar
3 tsps minced garlic
1 tbsps maraschino cherry juice (optional)

Split legs, drumsticks and thighs, make a few slashes in the flesh and place in a large ziplock bag. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour into the bag, squishing around to coat. Marinate in fridge at least 2 hours or overnight.
When ready to cook heat the grill. Remove chicken from bag and discard the marinade.
Grill on each side to get a good sear then continue cooking on indirect heat for about 1 hour.

C'mon summer, we're ready for you!
