I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Lemon and Rosemary Pork Chops

An aromatic sauce of lemon, rosemary and garlic combine to enhance these golden pork chops. Snazzy!
Ingredients:
3 bone-in pork chops
3 tbsps flour
3 tbsps butter
2 tbsps olive oil
2 tsps minced garlic
2 tbsps dry rosemary
2 tbsps lemon juice
zest of 1 lemon
1 cup chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste

Pat the chops dry with a paper towel then dust with 1 tbsp flour, salt and pepper. Heat 2 tbsps butter and 2 tbsps olive oil in a skillet and brown the pork about 3 minutes each side. Cook to medium then remove and cover to keep warm.
Next, on medium low heat, add the garlic to the pan cooking 1 minutes. Add 2 tbsps flour for 1 minute before whisking in the broth. Heat until thickened then add the rosemary, lemon juice and zest. Cook on low 2 more minutes then add 1 tbsp butter and remove from heat.
Serve pork chops ladled with sauce
