I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Hot Dog Hearts and Eggs

Tell someone you love them with food... these were easy to make and a treat for a special little someone! (No, he didn't eat the green beans but the hot dogs, eggs, cheese and tomatoes were a hit!

Ingredients:

2 hot dogs

1 egg, beaten

about 3-4 tbsps shredded cheese

2 tsps oil

Cut hot dogs in half leaving just the end whole at about 1". Then bring the two halves down with the cut side out to form a heart shape and secure with a toothpick. Heat oil in a frying pan to medium and place the hearts side be side. Brown on one side then turn them over. Carefully pour the beaten egg into the middle of each heart. (Some may ooze out, that's ok). Cover the pan and cook a few minutes until the egg is set just enough so you can flip the hearts over. Top with shredded cheese and cover until the cheese is melted. Don't forget to remove the toothpicks. Makes 2 small servings.
