I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Grilled Hasselback Potatoes

Thinly sliced tender, crispy and buttery ... it's next level baked potato! 

6 medium Yukon gold potatoes
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried parsley
1/3 cup butter
salt and pepper

Thinly slice the potatoes almost all the way through, using chopsticks on either side of the potato as a stopper.

Combine the butter with garlic powder, onion powder and parsley and chill in the fridge about 10 minutes.
Then slather the seasoned butter on top of each potato. Salt and pepper to taste and wrap individually in foil.

Barbecue on indirect medium high heat for about 45 minutes. The flavoured butter will penetrate every bite of your potatoes!

Unwrap and enjoy!
