Summer is coming and we'll be eating a lot of salads. Will be trying out different dressings. I like the idea of using chia seeds as a thickener. And it only takes a small amount.
4 tbsps honey Greek yogurt
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley, loosely packed
1 tsp lime juice
1 tsp lemon juice (or more)
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 clove garlic
1/3 cup (or more) olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
pinch of black pepper
Process the above ingredients until smooth
then stir in
1/2 tsp chia seeds
If you are using plain Greek yogurt you may need to add a little sweetener (like honey) but this honey Greek yogurt from President's Choice worked very well with just the right amount of sweet.
Great as a veggie dip
or feel free to add a little more olive oil/lemon juice to use as a salad dressing.
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
