I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Old Fashioned Beef Goulash

Whether you call it goulash, homemade hamburger helper or just plain meat and mac, this flavourful one pot meal can be on the table in about 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

1 red pepper, diced

1 stalk celery, diced

3 tsp minced garlic

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper

1 bay leaf

3 cups beef broth

28 oz can diced tomatoes

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

1 tbsp tomato paste

2 cups penne or elbow pasta

In a large skillet brown the beef then add the onion, red pepper and celery. Cook 3 minutes then add the garlic for 1 minute.

Add everything else except the pasta and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Next bring it all to a boil and add the pasta. Cook until the pasta is tender, about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

That's it!
