I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Whipped Butter

Whether it's a matter of being frugal or if finding butter to buy has become a problem because of covid_19 food shortages, then this recipe is here to help.

Keep 1/2 a pound of butter for baking and such. Use the other 1/2 and whip it up with a little milk to stretch that pound of butter!

(Thanks for the tip Dianna!)
Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter, room temperature
1/4 cup milk

Just put the butter and milk in a large mixing bowl and using the whisk attachment start combining on low to medium speed. After about 1 minute increase the speed to high and whip 4 or 5 minutes. At first it looks like it won't combine but after a few minutes it comes together.

Spread anywhere you would regular butter. Just remember it's not suitable for baking though.
