I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

When I was little Mom and I would make the best chocolate peanut butter fudge. Sadly we don't know what happened to that recipe, but after trial and error this one comes pretty darn close!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter

Melt butter in saucepan. Add the chocolate chips to melt. Remove from heat  and add the milk and vanilla.

Next sift together the icing sugar and cocoa powder. Gradually add the milk mix to the sugar mix. Stir in the peanut butter and blend completely or leave a few streaks.

Press into a parchment lined 9 X 9" baking pan. I made fork hash mark reminiscent of peanut butter cookies but smooth is good too.

Chill about an hour before cutting into squares.

Store in a tin layered with wax paper.

36 - 1" squares or 2 lbs of fudge ready for gifting.......

or eating !!
