I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Sweetened Condensed Milk and Caramel Cookies

Sometimes a recipe calls for condensed milk, but only a little. Then you're left with the rest wondering what to do with it. These tender two-bite cookies are the answer!

Ingredients:
1  3/4 cups butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup dulce de leche
(Or 1 cup condensed milk and leave out the dulce de leche)
3 cups flour
2 tsps baking powder
2 pinches salt
2 tbsps instant vanilla pudding powder
1 cup sea salt caramel chips
1/4 cup chocolate chips

Cream the butter and sugar together then add the condensed milk and dulce de leche. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and pudding powder and add to the butter mix in 2 additions. Then stir in the chips.

Roll the dough into 1 - 1 1/2" balls and place 1 1/2" apart on lined cookie sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until slightly golden.

Makes 4 dozen two-bite cookies.
Now feet up and relax!
