I adapted this from an Oh She Glows recipe. It's not too sweet like a jam and so easy to make. I'm going to be changing up the fruit in more batches in the future using these magic chia seeds!
1 cup seedless green grapes, cut in half
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
2 tbsps honey
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp lemon juice
Heat the grapes, blueberries and honey in a saucepan on low for 5 minutes. (The picture shows some whole grapes, but I ended up cutting them all in half).
Add the chia seeds, stir and cook on medium/low for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and lemon juice.
Pour into 2 little sterilized jars and start spreading!
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
